# Tokenized stocks on Solana explained

Understand tokenized stocks on Solana, how to identify an xStock mint, how balances reflect corporate actions, and how discovery differs from trading.

**Solana identifies the network, not the issuer or the rights attached to a stock token.** Start with the instrument and its mint address before comparing markets that use the same company name.

## What an xStock represents

xStocks are one family of stock and ETF instruments available on Solana. Their documentation identifies Backed Assets (JE) Limited as the issuer and classifies each instrument as a tracker certificate. They provide economic exposure rather than direct ownership of the underlying company's shares or shareholder voting rights.

The issuer describes collateral held with regulated custodians. Read the [product legal overview](https://docs.xstocks.fi/docs/product-legal-overview) and the instrument's [prospectus and Final Terms](https://assets.backed.fi/legal-documentation) for its rights, restrictions and applicable jurisdictions. Availability on a public blockchain does not remove those restrictions.

## Match the mint, not just the ticker

Two tokens can display the same company name or logo. On Solana, check the complete mint address against the issuer's current asset records. An address for a representation on Base or Robinhood Chain does not identify a Solana token.

The [xStocks developer documentation](https://docs.xstocks.fi/developers) describes its Solana instruments as Token-2022 tokens with the Scaled UI extension and provides access to the asset metadata. Use those records to distinguish the stock token from an unrelated community coin.

## Why the displayed balance can change

A stock split or reinvested dividend can change the economic exposure represented by a position. For xStocks on Solana, the raw onchain balance remains constant while applications use a multiplier to calculate the displayed balance.

A wallet or integration that ignores that multiplier can show a misleading amount. Do not assume that the number displayed by one interface can be compared with another interface's raw token amount. The [issuer's corporate-action guide](https://docs.xstocks.fi/docs/dividends-and-stock-splits) explains the Solana-specific treatment and dividend reinvestment.

## Discovery and trading in Feel.cash

Feel.cash's company catalog can include Solana representations alongside representations on other networks. A catalog entry is an identity and discovery record; it is not a promise that every representation has an executable trading route or can be selected for a new launch.

Open the [company page](https://feel.cash/stocks), inspect the selected token and network, and check the action and quote actually offered. The [network guide](/launch/chains.md) separately documents launch availability.

A community coin paired with a stock token remains its own asset. The pairing does not give that coin the issuer's backing or the stock token's rights. Read [how stock pairings work](/stocks/stock-pairings.md) before treating the two as interchangeable.
